Case Study 01
Completing and launching Halo's new website
Turning a partially completed replacement site into a live, measurable marketing and sales-support platform.

When I joined Halo, its replacement website had already been started but still required substantial content, configuration, quality checks and technical preparation before it could launch.
The objective was not simply to publish a new design. Halo needed a large commercial website that could present its equipment inventory, explain its services, support campaigns, generate enquiries and provide reliable performance data after launch.
The challenge
The unfinished website contained a large mix of:
- product and product-category pages;
- service pages;
- venue and project content;
- campaign and news articles;
- technical product information;
- imagery, prices, specifications and downloadable documents.
The remaining work needed to be completed while coordinating technical requirements with the developer and gathering accurate information from Halo's Managing Director, sales, accounts, production and technical teams.
The approach
Treat the website as an active acquisition and sales-support channel rather than a static equipment catalogue.
Review
Assess the existing build, identify missing content and establish the remaining launch requirements.
Complete
Finish and improve product, category, service, campaign and supporting pages.
Configure
Establish search and measurement foundations through Search Console, sitemap submission and GA4 tracking.
Launch
Coordinate final checks and technical requirements before publishing the site.
My contribution
- Reviewed the partially completed website and identified outstanding content, page and launch requirements.
- Completed and updated product, category, service, campaign, news and supporting pages.
- Developed new pages where additional services, campaigns or content destinations were needed.
- Managed product-page information including descriptions, images, pricing, specifications, downloadable PDFs, demo links and related products.
- Prepared page titles, SEO titles, meta descriptions, URLs, headings, imagery and other on-page elements.
- Used WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor and Yoast SEO to complete and manage the content.
- Created the Google Search Console property and submitted the website sitemap in July 2024.
- Implemented GA4 tracking and reporting, working with technical support where required.
- Coordinated final launch requirements, fixes and quality checks with the developer.
- Continued managing website content, SEO, analytics and performance after launch.

Team and collaboration
I worked closely with developer Sovanka and Halo's internal stakeholders. My direct contribution covered content completion, launch preparation, Search Console and sitemap setup, GA4 implementation, on-page SEO, website management and coordination. Development work and some site-wide technical changes were collaborative.
Outcome
Halo's new website launched in June 2024, with the public launch announced in July. It created a stronger foundation for:
- product and service discovery;
- marketing campaigns;
- sales enquiries;
- organic search;
- performance measurement;
- ongoing SEO and UX improvement.
After launch, SEMrush crawls recorded approximately 1,400 pages, including 803 products plus service, category, article and supporting content.
What I learned
A website launch is not the end of the project.
Its long-term value depends on whether the content remains accurate, the site can be found, user behaviour can be measured and improvements continue after launch.
